Charters Towers is a city within the dry tropics, some 120 kms south west of Townsville. It is noted for its schools, tourism, gold mining and cattle.
All Souls St Gabriels and the other Charters Towers independent schools were founded here because of the excellent climate. The following chart will give you some idea of our climate.

The 45 hectare campus is dominated by three architecturally important buildings, the Chapel, (the Spirit) the Mattingley Resource Centre (the Mind) and the Halse Dining Hall (the Body). The landscaped surroundings, frequented by many birds, allows the boarding, classrooms and sporting facilities to fit comfortably into their surrounds. The Matlock Complex — the Junior School, is quite separate
The School has wide grassed ovals and playgrounds for outdoor pursuits and learning. It is an environment which reflects the pride that the School family has in its School.
All Souls St Gabriels is a "small"school. Its optimum size is 350-400 students, from Pre-School to Year 12. Compared to other schools of its size, ASSG offers an impressive range of facilities.
