Secondary English Teacher

Due to relocation, All Souls St Gabriels School requires a teacher of English to commence at
the start of the 2020 school year. The ability to teach another subject would be desirable
but not essential.
This is a fulltime permanent position.
Applicants must be eligible for Queensland College of Teachers registration and the successful
candidate will need to be registered to teach in Queensland at the time of employment.
The successful applicant must have the capacity to teach English in Years 7 – 12.
Applicants should have:
• excellent knowledge of the QCAA and Australian Curriculum for Mathematics;
• an understanding of contemporary curriculum issues;
• an understanding of the learning and pastoral needs of secondary school students;
• confidence when using ICT;
• the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
All staff are expected to contribute to the wider life of the school through their participation
in extra-curricular activities.
The school has a large residential community of over 200 students, staff and their families
who live on campus. Relocation allowance is available for staff that do not reside locally, and
some rental offset arrangements may be negotiated on a case by case basis.
Lunch is provided in the Dining Hall for staff at no cost.
